All trainings scheduled in 2024 by the Northern Lights Region are now complete.  Our next focus year for Healthy Boundaries certification will be 2028. 

If you are a clergy person in the Region needing to complete Healthy Boundaries training before then, please contact the Regional Office ([email protected]) for assistance and requirements.

Training Session Details

A five-person minimum is required for each session to go forward.
If that number is not reached you may be asked to attend a different event.

HEALTHY BOUNDARIES 101 (first level) 
CLASS DESCRIPTION & REQUIRED BOOK

A 6-hour course using the Faith Trust Institute's Healthy Boundaries 101 curriculum which includes the following topics:

  • Boundary Basics for Clergy and Teachers
  • Dating, Friendships, Gifts, and Dual Relationships
  • Transference and Touch Boundaries
  • Emerging Issues: Social Media and Technology
  • Personal Needs and Self-Care: Personal and Professional Health

Role-play exercises and discussion on the Clergy Code of Ethics and Northern Lights Region Clergy Misconduct Policy, and Guidelines for Amorous Relationships will be included.
